A mistaken disclosure during discovery has prompted a class action accusing New Jersey prosecutors of illegally monitoring inmates' phone calls.
The suit says the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office secretly listened to calls between inmates and defense lawyers, and used what it heard to investigate and prosecute criminal cases.
