Breaking Bias Live: Lessons for Today from Amistad and 'Brown v. Board of Education'

Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education at a free, community event on June 4, presented in partnership with the NAACP Metuchen-Edison Branch and the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Hear from Ayanna Najuma, a civil rights icon who—at 7 years old—was one of the youngest to participate in lunch counter sit-ins in the 1950s that helped end restaurant segregation in Oklahoma. Explore a lesson from the Foundation's Breaking Bias: Lessons from the Amistad curriculum. Enjoy a panel discussion featuring attorneys and activists.

The program is for New Jersey high school students and their teachers, attorneys and members of the general public. Space is limited at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick, so reserve your spot today or register to attend virtually. Free parking, breakfast and lunch are included.
