A former federal prosecutor expects some challenges in the New Jersey attorney general’s criminal pursuit against businessman George E. Norcross III, noting that tough negotiations over the Camden waterfront development must be able to rise to a level of misconduct.

Howard S. Master, a former white-collar crime prosecutor for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York who now serves as a partner and counsel for the CEO of global investigations firm Nardello & Co., recently weighed in on Norcross’ charges. The indictment also ensnared law firm leaders with Parker McCay and Brown & Connery.
