"While [Scott] Salmon still has time to object to the petitions of Kennedy's nominating electors, according to the timeline provided by the Secretary of State, any objection to Kennedy's nomination petition had to be filed with the Secretary of State by June 4, 2024," said Donald F. Burke Jr., of the Law Office of Donald F. Burke, who represented Robert F. Kennedy Jr. "Salmon failed to meet the deadline and any contention that Kennedy's nomination petition is barred by the sore loser law is untimely."

A lawsuit that sought to keep Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s name from appearing as an independent candidate on the New Jersey ballot in his run for president was dismissed Monday by the Mercer County Superior Court as the incorrect venue for such a challenge.
