An attorney that a health care recovery firm hired to develop a personal injury practice instead funneled profits to her brother’s law firm as part of a secret “kickback scheme,” a recent suit from the firm alleges.

The suit, filed by Callagy Law of Paramus, names as defendants Hala Jaloudi, her brother Bilal “Abe” Jaloudi and his law firm, Jaloudi & Associates of Clifton. The claims against the Jaloudis come two years after Hala Jaloudi filed her own breach-of-contract suit against Callagy Law and its principal, Sean Callagy, which is still pending.
