Recently, the New Jersey Law Journal Editorial Board authored two opinion pieces concerning post-Oct. 7 developments on college campuses and its impact on Jewish and Israeli students. The opinions attempt to “balance First Amendment rights of students” to protest, against the safety and security of Jewish and Israeli students on college campuses, but fail, and instead decidedly tips the scale in favor of the former rather than the latter. As the Jewish Bar Association of New Jersey, we are compelled to weigh in.
