Christian Health Adds In-House Counsel

Christian Health has announced the appointment of Amy Shotmeyer Porter as the nonprofit health care organization's in-house legal counsel. She joins the organization from DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin, where she was equity partner.

"We are thrilled to welcome Amy to the Christian Health leadership team," said CEO Douglas A. Struyk in a statement. "As our organization continues to grow and expand to meet the needs of our community, Amy's background and expertise will be invaluable. We are confident that the knowledge and respect that she gained from her years of leadership and advocacy on behalf of Christian Health will enable her to hit the ground running."

In her new role, Shotmeyer Porter will lead Christian Health's legal services, serve as risk manager, and collaborate with various department heads to oversee regulatory and contractual compliance, resident and patient safety, emergency management, and quality assurance, the announcement said.
