Axsome Therapeutics filed a patent infringement lawsuit on Aug. 21 in New Jersey federal court. The suit, brought by Saul Ewing and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, takes aim at Aurobindo Pharma over its efforts to garner Food and Drug Administration approval to manufacture and sell generic versions of the plaintiff’s Sunosi drug, used to treat narcolepsy and sleep apnea. Counsel have yet to appear for the defendant. The case is Axsome Malta v. Aurobindo Pharma USA, 2:24-cv-08624.
