Beacon Sales Acquisition, a Fortune 500 supplier of residential and commercial roofing products, and subsidiary Passaic Metal & Building Supplies filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against New Castle Building Products and Passaic's former Vice President of Supply Chain John Rogan on Aug. 22 in New Jersey Superior Court for Bergen County. The suit, brought by Squire Patton Boggs, pertains to New Castle's bid to purchase Passaic, which was ultimately sold to Beacon; according to the complaint, New Castle breached a confidentiality and non-solicitation agreement by using proprietary information from the bidding process to solicit Rogan. Lawyers have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is BERC000161-24, Beacon Sales Acquisition Vs S&K Distribution Llc.
