A former dean of Rutgers Law School-Newark has been tapped to serve as the interim general counsel for the university following John Hoffman's elevation to the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Rutgers University President Jonathan Holloway appointed John J. Farmer Jr. as interim senior vice president and general counsel effective immediately, according to a statement sent to the Law Journal late Tuesday afternoon. Farmer previously held the general counsel position from 2013 to 2014.
