McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter has been hit with a malicious-prosecution claim from the attorney whose husband pleaded guilty to embezzling millions from the New Jersey firm.
Nicole Alexander, who was director of professional and business development at the firm until she was terminated in May 2023, alleges in her counterclaim to a civil suit by McElroy Deutsch that the firm continues to seek civil damages from her despite no evidence of her wrongdoing.
