A complaint filed in New Jersey federal court by Baker & Hostetler alleged that a series of social media and blog posts defamed a CEO and his business, which provides postathletic career support to pro athletes.

According to the complaint, Pro Athlete Community, or PAC, was founded by Christopher Paucek to educate former pro athletes on supporting their business endeavors after their sports careers are over. Paucek, who is co-CEO of the company, sued Dahn Shaulis in Paucek v. Shaulis for defamation in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey over allegations that the blogger "sought to destroy" the reputation of the company and its founder in a series of social media and blog posts.
