Cole Schotz Welcomes Dalo as Corporate Member
Cole Schotz has welcomed John W. Dalo as a member of the firm’s corporate department in New Jersey. He joins the firm from Connell Foley.
Dalo’s practice focuses on a variety of corporate matters including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, entity formation and organization, financing and loan transactions, regulatory compliance, and private offerings. Dalo also advises clients on real estate leasing and acquisitions.
In addition, Dalo serves as outside general counsel to national and multinational companies across a wide range of industries, assisting with complex commercial, transactional and regulatory issues.
“We are delighted to welcome John to the firm’s corporate team in New Jersey,” said Jennifer Horowitz, chair of the firm’s corporate transactions department. “John’s experience and expertise will complement our department’s capabilities and will benefit the firm and our clients.”

Dalo earned his J.D. from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and his bachelor's from the University of Delaware.
Genova Burns Adds Cleary as Counsel
Genova Burns has announced the addition of Neil J. Cleary as counsel, where he will spearhead the firm’s white collar crime practice and enhance its litigation and corporate investigations teams.
Prior to joining the firm, Cleary served as the first assistant prosecutor at the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, overseeing the operations of a team comprising over 175 legal and investigative professionals. His role included managing complex case assignments, collaborating with law enforcement agencies at multiple levels, and directing internal affairs investigations.
Cleary's background also includes positions with the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Jersey Judiciary, as well as academic contributions as an adjunct professor at Berkeley College.

Cleary received his J.D. from New England Law in Boston and holds a bachelor's from Rowan University.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.
