A state trial court judge awarded two plaintiff medical companies nearly $850,000 in damages against a doctor for spoliation of evidence and violation the New Jersey Computer Related Offenses Act and Trade Secrets Act.
Essex County Judge Jodi Lee Alper issued a 40-page decision and $845,000 in sanctions after finding that two individual defendants violated court orders directing them not to destroy electronic evidence.
