A $2.85 million settlement has been reached for a Clifton woman killed when a police officer allegedly lost control of his vehicle.

Sook Hee Lee, 65, was walking along Brookwood Road in Clifton when a police cruiser approached the intersection with Allwood Road. Officer Garrell Middleton, who was working for the Clifton Police Department at the time of the crash, lost control of his vehicle in the intersection, which caused him to run over a street sign, hit Lee, and crash into a house, according to the complaint.
