The New Jersey Supreme Court held that police body-worn camera footage of an interview should not be kept confidential when it involves a person who has not been arrested or charged with a crime.
The unanimous opinion, written by Associate Justice Rachel Wainer Apter and released Tuesday, reversed an Appellate Division decision and ordered the body-worn camera footage at the center of the case be released to the plaintiffs.
