A passenger who suffered severe injuries in a head-on collision with a dump truck accepted $3.5 million on Nov. 20 to settle her suit against the truck’s owner. Brown v. Rockafellow .

The accident occurred on Jan. 22, 2007, on Route 68 in Tabernacle. Plaintiff Laurie Brown was a passenger in an SUV going north when the southbound truck braked to avoid another car making a left-hand turn. Unable to stop in time, the truck veered left and crashed into Brown’s vehicle, killing her driver, Ivan Jackson of Browns Mills.
