A state appeals court has affirmed dismissal of a consumer-fraud suit that alleged a company doing business on the Internet hoodwinked customers by imposing shipping charges on a bonus gift.

The Appellate Division, in Hoffman v. AsSeenOnTV.com , A-1840-07 [digested at page 37], ruled on Jan. 5 that plaintiff Harold Hoffman suffered no loss because he was not billed for the purchase at the core of his suit.
