William Owen Jr., the first African-American president of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, was the keynote speaker for Porzio, Bromberg & Newman’s annual Black History Month presentation held Feb. 9 at the firm’s Morristown offices. Owen, who is a physician, discussed the disparity of health care in the United States, and the challenges of overseeing a large academic health center.
