The family of a handicapped child who died in a vehicle fire agreed April 2 to accept $13.6 million to settle their Essex County wrongful-death, product-liability suit, Pena v. Drive-Master Inc.

Marvin Pena, 10, was burned to death in a Ford van during an August 2004 family trip to Florida. His brother, Irving, then 11, their grandmother Blanca Torres and their uncle Reynaldo Diaz were severely burned.
