An Atlantic County jury awarded $1.75 million on May 7 to the estate of a woman who died after a fall on a wet floor in a car dealer’s showroom, in Estate of Risko v. Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Hammonton.

On Nov. 21, 2005, a rainy day, Camille Risko, 69, walked into Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Hammonton, slipped on a wet runner, fell and fractured her hip and shoulder. She developed a fever and other complications from the injuries and died 40 days later, according to trial evidence presented by Thomas Vesper of Westmoreland Vesper & Quattrone in West Atlantic City.
