No Donative Intent — The Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct is seeking a public admonition for Moonachie Municipal Judge Philip Boggia, whose firm made political contributions, despite his denial that he knew or approved of them.

In a presentment released Thursday, the ACJC said the issue was not whether Boggia knew about the donations but how the public might perceive them, in light of New Jersey’s strong tradition of a nonpolitical judiciary.
