Plaintiffs Valeo, S.A., and Valeo Inc. filed this antitrust action under the Sherman Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1 and the Clayton Act, 15 U.S.C. §§ 15 and 26, alleging that defendants Le Carbone Lorraine, S.A., Carbone Lorraine North America Corporation, and Carbone of America Industries Corporation conspired to artificially regulate the price of electrical carbon products, which plaintiffs both directly and indirectly purchased at inflated prices.
