Anderson v. County of Camden: A Superior Court jury on Oct. 17, 2008, ordered Camden County to pay $31.3 million to a man whose leg was severed in a crash caused by a dangerous road and a faulty guardrail.
The county is appealing the verdict, and its excess carrier, State National Insurance Co., is seeking to avoid coverage on the ground the county counsel mishandled the case.
