It will cost a little less to run New Jersey’s attorney-discipline system next year, and revenues are on the rise, creating a healthy surplus. But the annual assessment on practicing lawyers should remain the same, the Supreme Court Disciplinary Oversight Committee says in its annual report.

Attorneys with three to 50 years in practice will be levied $140 in 2010, the same as 2009, according to the proposed $11.2 million budget made public on Tuesday, on which the Court is accepting comments until Dec. 14.
