Lawyer Pays — A lawyer who lost a suit accusing an adversary of asking overly tough questions at a deposition dropped his appeal and paid $17,600 for the other side’s costs and fees.

Bruce Nagel of Nagel Rice in Roseland filed a complaint in 2007 that said a client alleging a doctor’s malpractice caused the death of her child, suffered emotional distress from questions asked by defense lawyer Judith Wahrenberger of Wahrenberger & Pietro in Springfield.
