Runaway Judges — What is it about the legal malpractice case against New York lawyer Alan Rosefielde that makes judges want to leave? Or not.

The appeal of an Atlantic County verdict holding Rosefielde liable for $1 million in damages to Bruce Kaye, the owner of a real estate company, was argued Nov. 18 before a three-judge panel. But on Dec. 17, the lawyers were notified they would have to re-argue before a new panel in January.
