The Senate Judiciary Committee, in a marathon session on Thursday, assented to 27 of outgoing Gov. Jon Corzine’s judicial nominees: 11 for the Superior Court, seven for the Office of Administrative Law and nine for the workers’ compensation bench.
The panel also approved Corzine’s nominee for Cumberland County prosecutor: Vineland solo Jennifer Webb-McRae, who if confirmed by the Senate would be the first woman and first African-American to hold that post. She would replace Ronald Casella, a holdover since his term ended last April.
