Burned Out — Steven Boda knows he was lucky. When a gas-leak explosion reduced the Edison building that housed his law office to a pile of rubble in the early morning hours of Jan. 18, no one was in the building and no one was hurt.

But he lost his computer, files, phones and law library, along with personal items like diplomas and golf trophies.
