Hometown Hero — Lawyers are scarce in the New Jersey Hall of Fame, formed in 2008 to honor the state’s most distinguished residents. Of the 28 inductees so far, only one is a lawyer — Paul Robeson, who was better known for his singing, acting and social activism.

But take heart, that’s about to change. On May 2, the hall will induct Justice William Brennan Jr. at a ceremony in Newark, the city of his birth.
