A lawyer cum New York Jets fan got another shot Wednesday at convincing a federal court that the New England Patriots should pay damages to ticket-holders for the franchise’s clandestine videotaping of rival coaches’ hand signals.

The Third U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments in Carl Mayer’s appeal from judge’s dismissal of his class-action suit that alleged, among other counts, that the stealthy recording violated the right of Jets’ season ticke- holders — including him — to watch an honest match-up.
