Steven Klein, shown, a partner with Cole, Schotz, Meisel, Forman & Leonard in Hackensack, has been elected president of the Bergen County Bar Association. His one-year term follows his four-year service on the organization’s board of directors. He will be formally sworn in on May 6. Klein is co-chairman of the firm’s litigation department and handles chancery and real estate litigation.
Greenberg Honored By Johns Hopkins University
William Greenberg, shown, a partner with McCarter & English in Newark and a retired U.S. Army brigadier general, was honored on April 17 at the Plaza Hotel in New York by his alma mater, Johns Hopkins University, with the 2010 Distinguished Alumnus Award. The award recognizes personal accomplishments, professional achievement or humanitarian service by alumni. Greenberg established the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Military Legal Assistance Program in conjunction with McCarter & English. The program, staffed by attorneys working pro bono, provides assistance to those called to active duty in Afghanistan and Iraq.
