As it slashes jobs and reduces services, Legal Services of New Jersey made an urgent request Wednesday for additional funding — backed with first-hand accounts of the turmoil that could result if the cuts planned for its 2011 budget take effect.

The agency released a report supported by profiles of eight clients and descriptions of services rendered to them. Four clients also tell their stories in YouTube video clips that are linked to Legal Services’ website.
