Friending and Lobbying — While most Facebook members use the social medium to announce the minutiae of their lives and careers, it’s becoming useful for other things, too — like lobbying for legislation.

It was a swell of Facebook-based support that prompted introduction of a bill to repeal a law, effective May 1, requiring under-21 drivers with learner’s permits or probationary driver’s licenses to display red decals on their car plates.
