In view of your recent article on the status of Native Americans in the state of New Jersey ["Circuit Court Clears Tribe's Path for Claim to Thousands of Acres in N.J.," May 31] and further in light of my status as the attorney representing the New Jersey Sand Hill Band of Lenape and Cherokee Indians, I feel it is my duty to inform you of the status of the case and give a brief background of its history.
