At a reception on June 29 at the Law Center in New Brunswick, the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education presented Wayne Positan, managing partner of Roseland’s Lum, Drasco & Positan, with the 2010 Alfred C. Clapp Award for Excellence in Continuing Legal Education, given annually in the spirit of the late Judge Clapp, a former legal scholar and Law Journal editor. ICLE also presented Distinguished Service Awards to U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Novalyn Winfield, Bonnie Blume Goldsamt, John Paone Jr. and Carl Poplar and Special Achievement Awards to ICLE staff members Sherryl Burman, Fran Fox and Zbigniew Knapik for outstanding work.
Griffinger Receives William J. Brennan Jr. Award
The Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey honored Michael Griffinger, a partner at Gibbons in Newark, with the William J. Brennan Jr. Award, at its 34th annual dinner held June 16 at Mayfair Farms in West Orange. The award is given annually in recognition of outstanding judges or attorneys.
