NRG Energy Inc., an electric and gas utility company in Princeton, agreed on Aug. 13 to pay $1.36 billion for four of the electric utility company Dynergy Inc.’s natural gas-fired assets in California and Maine. Dynergy is based in Houston. NRG also agreed to pay $525 million for the Cottonwood Generating Station, a unit of Harbert Management Corp., in Columbia, Texas.

Medco Health To Gain BioSource

Medco Health Solutions, a pharmacy benefits manager in Franklin Lakes, announced on Tuesday it would pay $750 million for United BioSource, a drug research company in Bethesda, Md.
