Dear Editor:

In your Aug. 16 editorial, “Judges on Juries,” you contend: “[W]e do not believe it realistic to expect lay jurors not to be unduly influenced by the thoughts and recommendations of fellow jurors if those jurors happen to be judges.” Thus, you urge, “it is time to consider statutorily exempting members of the Superior Court, the Supreme Court and the federal courts from jury service.”
