A woman whose breast-cancer diagnosis was delayed by a misread mammogram agreed to a $1.6 million settlement of her Middlesex County suit, Cicora v. Weissman, on Oct. 18.

Luann Cicora, of Edison, now 42, underwent the mammogram on June 9, 2004, at the Breast Center at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Murray Weissman — a radiologist employed by contractor Edison Radiology Group — found no abnormalities. But on Dec. 13, 2006, Cicora was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer.
