About a year after his birth, Stephen Komninos was diagnosed with multiple disabling conditions. Shortly before his ninth birthday, he was admitted to Bancroft Neurohealth Inc.’s community group home program. During his 13 years as a residential student, he successively resided in three of Bancroft’s group homes.
