Wallace No Longer a Free AgentJohn Wallace Jr. , whose unceremonious unseating from the Supreme Court last summer touched off a three-branch donnybrook unprecedented in New Jersey, is now safe in his corner. On Feb. 1, he joins 40-attorney Brown & Connery as counsel in its Woodbury office, the firm announced Friday.

Taking a path common to retired judges, Wallace will practice mediation and arbitration. William Tambussi , a managing partner at the Westmont-based firm, says its litigators are eager to benefit from the inside perspective Wallace can provide. And he says that Wallace, who played football at the University of Delaware, will fit in well with the many former college athletes among his new colleagues. Wallace will continue as a volunteer for the high school football team and for Little League baseball in Washington Township in Gloucester County, where he lives.
