Quest Diagnostics Inc. announced on Feb. 24 it signed a definitive agreement to acquire Athena Diagnostics of Worcester, Mass., from Thermo Fisher Scientific for $740 million in cash. Both are diagnostic testing companies.
N.J. Health-care Company Acquired
Concentra Inc. of Addison, Texas, a unit of Humana Inc. and a provider of urgent care and family medicine, on Feb. 17 acquired Immediate Medical Care Center PA of Parsippany, which provides urgent care, occupational medicine, physical therapy and wellness services.
