Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker in Newark has donated $50,000 in honor of a client, a student with Down syndrome and juvenile diabetes who is seeking a public education under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Robert Lesko, shown, a partner, handled the matter on behalf of the student on a pro bono basis. Wilson Elser made donations to six charities in recognition of the family’s efforts to secure similar rights for all students with disabilities: $25,000 to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and a total of $25,000 to five other charities that advocate for children with disabilities — the Camp Nejeda Foundation, New Jersey Coalition for Inclusive Education, ARC of Essex County, ARC of Monmouth County and the National Down Syndrome Society.


Prosecutors Speak at Vicinage XIII Dinner

Prosecutors from Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren counties spoke at the annual Vicinage XIII dinner on Feb. 15 at the Bridgewater Manor in Bridgewater. Prosecutor Thomas Ferguson from Warren County introduced two newly sworn prosecutors, Anthony Kearns III of Hunterdon County and Geoffrey Soriano of Somerset County, and all three spoke to members of the county bar associations in Vicinage XIII.
