Colgate-Palmolive of New York announced on March 24 that it would acquire Sanex, a personal care division of Unilever, of Englewood Cliffs, in a $940 million all-cash deal. In the deal, Colgate-Palmolive was represented by Joshua Cammaker, David Feirstein and Morgan Kenner of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, of New York, N.Y., while Sanex was represented by Gary Eaborn, of Slaughter & May in London.

Colgate Unit Acquired for $215M

Unilever of Englewood Cliffs announced March 24 that it will acquire Colgate-Palmolive’s Colombian laundry detergent unit for $215 million. Colgate-Palmolive was represented by Joshua Cammaker, David Feirstein and Morgan Kenner of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, while Unilever was represented by Newark-based Edward B. Stevenson and Johanna L. Ferraro of Herrick, Feinstein LLP. Both are New York, N.Y., firms.
