In the contested election for State Bar Association secretary, the first rung on the ladder to the presidency, Angela White Dalton and Ivette Alvarez are tussling over the use of State Bar e-mail systems for campaign purposes.
This is the first time in memory that use of electronic communications has been a source of contention in State Bar elections — and not surprisingly, since the last contested election was 18 years ago, when the World Wide Web was barely a gleam in programmers’ eyes.
