The state Senate on Wednesday confirmed the appointments of four Superior Court judges — two from Ocean County and one each from Mercer and Union counties.

In an unusual move, the Senate voted on the nominees the same day they were approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee. Normally, at least 24 hours must pass between the time nominations are approved by the committee and a vote by the full Senate. Both parties agreed to consider the nominations on the same day so the Senate could begin its summer recess.
