The state Supreme Court has designated suits over Plavix, an anticlotting medication intended to prevent heart attacks and strokes, and AlloDerm, a surgical mesh used in skin grafts, for centralized case management.

Middlesex County Superior Court Judge Jessica Mayer has been vested with supervision of dozens of suits against the manufacturers: Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. of New York and Sanofi-Aventis of Bridgewater, the makers of Plavix, and LifeCell Corp. of Branchburg, the maker of AlloDerm.
