A factory worker who lost a leg in a workplace accident accepted a $850,000 settlement midtrial in his Union County suit, Noy v. Blue Blade Steel Corp.
David Noy, of Elizabeth, was injured on July 19, 2006, when a steel coil, weighing 1,000 to 2,000 pounds, fell from a hook onto his right foot at Blue Blade Steel Corp. in Kenilworth. He developed gangrene and had to have the leg amputated at midcalf.
