Whether or not an author got it right when he said Donald Trump might be a mere mega-millionaire rather than the billionaire he says he is, Trump’s defamation suit over the comment was correctly dismissed, a New Jersey appeals court held Wednesday.
The real estate magnate and star of the TV reality show “The Apprentice” is indisputably a public figure, the court said, and has not shown actual malice on the part of New York Times reporter Timothy O’Brien, author of TrumpNation: The Art of Being The Donald (Warner Books, 2005).
