A federal judge has approved a settlement, valued at $15 million or more, of a class-action suit over Mercedes-Benz USA’s failure to disclose that emergency communications systems on some of its vehicles were slated for obsolescence.
Buyers of 2003 to 2006 Mercedes-Benz models with analog Tele Aid communication systems will receive either $650 in cash or a certificate for up to $1,300 off of a new vehicle under the pact, approved Sept. 9 by District Judge Dickinson Debevoise in Newark.
